The PDF 'Table of Contents'

Once set up, you may choose whether to include a 'Table of Contents' or not when the document is exported to PDF or PDF/A: see More options for PDF export.

To make a Table of Contents for PDF export

1.Select Export... from the 'File' menu.
2.Select PDF as the export 'Format' then click PDF Options....
3.Click Contents....
4.Click a field in the 'tree' that you want to put in the table of contents.
5.Select Include field in PDF table of contents.
6.Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each field that you want to put in the table of contents.
7.Click OK.
8.Select Do not make a Table of Contents to retain the set-up without exporting the Table on this occasion
or
Deselect 'Do not make a Table of Contents' to export the Table with the PDF document.
9.Click OK.

To edit a Table of Contents

1.In the 'Field Definitions' window (f8), click the PDF tab.
2.Click a field in the 'tree' that you want to edit.
3.Select Include field in PDF table of contents to add the field to the table of contents
or
Deselect 'Include field in PDF table of contents' to remove it.
4.Click OK.
