A command line of the form:

ESCAPEE c:\temp\test.pcl

just displays the file rather than outputting it as you might expect. This is so that double-clicking a file in Windows® Explorer views the file rather than creating it.

To create a PDF from the command line you need to specify the option explicitly e.g.

ESCAPEE c:\temp\test.pcl /PDF
